>>20203513They most likely already have your SS number. It's fairly easy information to get going through PI channels, and they've most likely ran a credit report before they even started. You can't get blood out of a turnip, and they know it. Usually if the credit comes back poor they'll sell the bounty to some other poor sap who has no scruples doing some work to collect. It won't hurt to call and if worse comes to worse enact your rights under the fair debt collections act. There are lawyers who eat that up because they get a percentage of the harassment payout. But a mistake does not count as harassment, so call them first.
