The reason for both of these conspiracies is 1, the if nukes are real, muh scary world ending bombs = easier to control population, this allowed for more control during the cold war of the populace and allowed to push more nihilistic misinfo down the line, well they started of course with space disinfo of course.
The reason why we are tricked into thinking nuclear radiation and nuclear energy is super dangerous and shit aswell, is because it's actually really really really really REALLY easy to make a nuclear generator at home with uranium/plutonium/etc and you could power an entire home for 80+ years extremely cheaply.
It's not really anything like those schizo free energy conspiracies, either, like the generators do have a shelf life, but they are extremely safe and easy to manufacture.
Of course the main reason for the second, is that if we all had cheap, clean energy, that lasted for decades, we would have no need to pay the government for quite a lot when it comes to energy. So it's KIND of similar to the free energy conspiracies, but it's not some schizo alien technology nonsense, or other free energy schizo shit, that literally has no measurable basis in reality whatsoever outside of some dudes communication with demons he had after doing psychedelic drugs that he was brainwashed into thinking was a God or something.
