>>12783244not anything concrete, no. ultimately i want to work on environments but that's a bit nebulous as a goal
very uncomfy feel
>>12783272well like with anything u could try to find the best tut or textbook available but instead of wasting time on that u can just pick something that isn't blatantly garbage and then use ur time to study it.
it's not like this is the only guy i'll ever learn from, so it's just a waste to abandon projects halfway through because i don't think their methods are ideal. unless a source is really blatantly worthless or ur not progressing it's best to just stick with it until u hit a milestone that's easy to transition from. it's better to learn the basics with slightly shoddy quality and fill in the gaps later than spend 10 hours watching 75% of different 1 hour beginner tuts that cover the same shit.
either shift + caps lock or alt + ` if ur using the standard setup. i never leave the jp keyboard because shift + caps is easier than win + space but i imagine u might need other keyboards as well
>>12783285maybe. my concern with that is that most of the projects i'd want to do seem quite ambitious overall and i don't necessarily know what it is that i need to know for them, so it seems very easy to end up totally lost which would only be more demoralizing.
for now the plan is to do the donut one step at a time, then every time i reach a milestone try to recreate what i've done so far without referencing the tutorial. once i'm done with that i'll consider whether there's anything i'd like to try making with the skills i've acquired to that point, then go from there
