Days have passed since the Bubblegum Crisis defeated the Birds of Prey in a ladder match and won the WWA World Tag Team Titles. While that was preceded by a victory that the Birds of Prey achieved over the Bubblegum Crisis in a non-title match, it nonetheless meant that the number of successful title defenses for the Birds of Prey was a big round ZERO.
But Andi didn't see as a failure this time. They'd given it their all and competed with honor together. You win some, you lose some, and there'd be other chances. Right now, she was warm on a cold winter's day, snuggled in next to Robyn, watching a re-run of some silly, pointless show together on her bed. This was nice, but her mind has drifted to something else.
>"We may've lost the titles, but things haven't worked out too bad for us, know what I mean?"
Andi leans her head up against Robyn's, smiling.
>"We've got no expenses while staying here, and we're making pretty good money between getting paid to wrestle and streaming our workouts. We went from me being broke and you having that awful debt, to the Birds of Prey actually having a little nest egg. And we've got each other. Life's been good to us lately, and so has the Dojo."
Andi gives Robyn a gentle squeeze.
>"Maybe we should celebrate, y'know? I don't know about you but it's been a while since I had Christmas like a real family without it being stressful and weird, and, well, you're my family now. Maybe we should celebrate together and try to do some fun stuff with everyone else at the Dojo too, since they've all been pretty chill about me staying here when I'm not enrolled as a rookie wrestler or paying for anything. Bake some cookies, set up a tree, hang some decorations, stand under some mistletoe together, y'know?"
