The similarities between the War in Heaven to the Titanomachy makes me think that it was written by a greek that didn't really understand monotheism all that well, but the jews tried to take credit for it with the Apocalypse of Abraham and act as if it was their plot to control the goyim instead.

If we can figure out magnetism, electricity and the non-visible electromagnetic spectrum, but can't find ay decent evidence of ghosts, then the problem is more likely the several thousand year old belief that is only still around due to memetics.
