>>17182240>ot a being worth worship or any sort of admirationReal Christianity doesn't start by telling you to think of Him as "admirable". You're supposed to be afraid of Him. He is not Her - He is not your warm and doting mother. He is the Father of all things, powerful, harsh, and demanding.
Do you find Him frightful? Does pondering His image and the record of His works fill you with awe and fear? GOOD. THAT'S THE POINT. This comprehension of the frightfulness of Creation, of Him as its Lord, is the beginning of all wisdom, precisely as Christianity teaches. Fear Him, respect Him as the force of nature above all forces of nature. It's only later, after more contemplation and prayer, that you're even supposed to piece together an idea of the Beauty and Wisdom of His works at all.
