For me happiness is living without such responsibilities and dare I say burdens as raising a family. And it doens't feel like I'm avoiding anything, it's just the default. Not having sex means I don't get anyone pregnant, simple as.
And who even regrets not having children? I think that's mostly a female mindset. Or a man who values himself and his own life primarily on what he can do for women rather than living for his own enjoyment.
