It’s also remarkably cowardly as a philosophy. Consider this: Since the beggining of the universe you didn’t exist, and now you exist for an extremely short time, before you will ultimately die again for all eternity….l instead of just embracing this life, imbibing deeply of this life, with all its triumphs and misfortunes, its transcendent euphoric thrills and it’s tragedy and heartbreak…..so are so scared of a little feeling, so weak in the nerves that you instead want to spend this preciously short lifetime chasing nirvana, that is, a state of “non being”. A sort of miniature death, while alive.
Like a person who is too uptight to just enjoy getting drunk and partying because they don’t want a hangover the next day
Really hunk sbiut that, and ask yourself why you’re so afraid to suffer. So afraid of a little pain that you’re even willing to give up life’s joys and pleasures in order to escape it
