You have no authority to interpret Scripture, Schismatic.
The Council of Florence established the Orthodoxy of the Filioque (see
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Rrzo55G364) and the Union of all of the Churches of the East with Rome. Because the Schismatic populations that in some remnant places today (because indeed, so many have ultimately embraced Islam out of spite towards Rome) that regard themselves as "Orthodox" rejected the council, invented some new theological principle of "general submission" or whatever as being a requisite for an Ecumenical Council's validity, and embraced error out of the hardness of their hearts, they were ultimately conquered by Mohammedanism and receded into their esotericism and closedness towards the world -- just as one with no authority to bind and unbind could only do.
And before you retort how "Orthodoxy" is "authentic" "unchanged" Christianity, look at pic-related and tell me how "unchanged" and "authentic" your religion is after understanding that the power to bind and unbind implies ability to "change", and see how this is historically upheld in the visible changes that the Ecumenical Councils themselves had many times brought about in the Universal, Catholic, and only truly Orthodox, Church.
