Most of the threads you have mentioned never really took off as bant culture, mainly it was about posting cool shit or waiting for someone to post cool shit. Before the bizpocalyse the kind of threads you mentioned were far less and might be a tactic to make bizfriends leave for other boards. Generally speaking there was unspoken peace in bant but it could get pretty boring. Bant as it is now is far more entertaining.
