The biggest issue is figuring out where the additional matter is coming from. Expanding Earth theory(s) don't have a good answer for that yet and therefore will immediately get dismissed on that alone. That said, I think it has merit and can explain things like the size of dinosaurs in relation to their bone density, the dubious idea of Pangea splitting, the sea floor structure/age, etc. There was a classified book in the CIA archive that briefly mentioned that the Earth periodically expells "neutral matter" from it's core during a cyclical cataclysm. The reason we may not see this expansion at present is because it may occur in cataclysmic bursts of activity. Obviously we are then left to wonder what causes these periodic burst of activity. Do they coincide with other cyclical changes like the magnetic field reversal?
