>>1182400Soon, /pol/ users began to notice that Kek threads were almost always filled with an unusual number of GETs, most of them unintentional, and the idea that Kek "spoke to" /pol/ through posts with repeating digits developed. Often half of all posts in Kek threads would have dubs or higher, with posts mentioning Kek in some way or otherwise having "prophetic" qualities always being more likely to get them. On a board as fast as /pol/ this was shocking, and only added to the unstoppable positive-feedback loop of memes that was already in motion.
After endless GET-filled prophecy threads and a series of other coincidences and similar unlikely events including the famous 77777777 "Trump will win" GET, it all hit critical mass on election night when Trump actually won. Those who had been following the election from day 1 and had seen all the news and polls laughing at Trump, the one man who had grown to be the living flesh-and-blood antithesis of everything /pol/'s current users despized, all felt something that can only be described as CANNOT BE. Most of /pol/ felt like they had used internet memes and black magic to save human civilization.
The presence of reddit, attracted by the "Alt-Right" label, resulted in the constant leaking of /pol/. But it wasn't until after the election that Kek and all related election-cycle /pol/ culture fully diffused out of 4chan. Thanks to Sargon, one of the "Alt-Right" figures attached to the label, "Kekistan" developed, and Kek succumbed to the exact same fate as the infamous guy-fawkes-mask-wearing "Anonymous" hacker collective we all know and love.
