When we hear a statement to the effect that "all other gods are false," one way to interpret that would be that there ARE other gods, but that they are not the ones to be followed; thoughts?
Not really the Bible, but how come there are no new commandments from God? Take for instance, airplane travel. To me, this seems like just the kind of thing God would weigh in on in the past, like man flying like a bird could be a pretty significant affront to God, no? How come we don't hear about it, and do you feel organized religion sometimes talks out of turn when speaking an opinion about modern stuff? For instance, when the Pope or some church directs its congregation in some way not explicitly written in the bible?
