So, LPR is the condition where the Acid Reflux makes its way upwards where it shouldn't be.
The thing is though, LPR doesn't and CAN NOT destroy ANY muscle or nerves.
LPR is limited to irritation and inflammation
The Stomach Acid LITERALLY can't physically damage anything.

Now the question is if Emi just misunderstood on her own or Taco embellished the story for one reason or another.
And I have a feeling it's the latter, Emi said at one point that Taco can only drink protein drinks and that is a straight up lie. Even with the most serious cases of LPR you can eat soft non acidic foods.
