Whereas Vedas or any Indian scripture doesn't claim that. All the hymns in the Vedas are praising all the various deities in order to appease them. Which means they were clearly written by men. God doesn't praise himself. The Upanishads are just philosophical debates between sages and their disciples. The Puranas are a mix of history and parables explaining the philosophy of the Vedas through the avatars of various deities. So no, these are not remotely the same thing. We are not the same.
