>>1134786Welcome to /bant/!
I have an extreme form of Spina Bifida!
Where a tumor anchored my spinal cord and made it pop out!
Then after surgery created tons of scar tissue, I had to have surgery.
My spine was pulled and twisted when I went through a growth spurt and I lost 1/3 of my lower bodies function! Hooray~
>Party FavorI had multiple surgeries called spinal untetherings... mostly ethical and even a little medieval. Pretty sweet bros.
By this point my legs and one foot was so fucked, I had to have bone surgery and tendon transfers to make them "look" more normal, not even function. Thanks western medicine.
Oh, yeah and I had to go through about one of these surgeries in some form or another averaging once a year from 12-20.
Can you say mood killer on the whole informative social teenage years?
Oh right, I also couldn't pee or poop or walk after one surgery. Shit was fucked... literally.
But I wasn't a pussy complaining on an image board back then, so I did intense physical therapy, learned to walk again, remapped my own muscle groups to pee on my own, and eventually taught myself enough to get accepted into college (hard to do without tradition schooling).
The good news is, it wasn't "Genetic" and I had a kid, who's healthy. Who's life I'll always be in, unlike my dad who distanced himself from me three states away, and would only visit when I wasn't hospitalized or sick at the time.
I also don't know why people complain about life, when they have working limbs they could go live life with.
Alright, any stories we should share bros?
