Given that it wasn't going to be the same 30k at any time you can get an audience figure of maybe 250k viewers who were vaguely aware of the show at some point. The issue was not resetting the endorsements week after week so the figures became stale. This is how you end up with content drivers like Trish with minimal endorsements over nontent fish like Shinji.
Is he a good guy? Sure, great story teller, definitely. But a large part of the show is just being a prick and being assertive. He claimed to actively hate Trish, but the ONLY time he ever got into a struggle with her was during the bed bunk building challenge and that was solely because she started screwing with him, not the other way around.
