>>9500214Never been to moscow. But I have been to other Russian cities and travelled through Russian to the baltics by train. and there is truth in
>>9500213 what you say. and yet I cant help but think how much of that is our (the west's fault). how long have we been sanctioning Russia. how long have we been crippling her? and why? because we are scared of her vast potential? to what end is that.
how is it wisdom to keep down a man that might be your friend, especially if that man could be your most powerful ally. the whole idea of the cold war was to cut them off. but this is folly. while we wasted so much to "defeat" the russians, we allowed the rise of islamic terror, we allowed the vast overpopualtion of Africa and Asia to go unchecked, and we fuelled the rise of China (a culture vastly more at odds with us then the Russians).
we should have sat down at the end of ww2 and had a real discussion about what we were going to do with the world. about where our respective spheres of influence would begin and end. I can only imagine what this world would have been like today had we maintained our freindship. Friendships require work, its not easy. We have left the path of wisdom when we choose to make an enemy of Russia, and it is my sincere hope that we may once again honour our old alliance and fight alongside each other for a better world for all our children.
