You can disagree about the definition of a vacuum or say that the absence of air isn't a "vacuum" but rather something else but the fact remains that if the air is removed from an enclosed space, the result is silence within that space. How one is supposed to reconcile those facts with the idea of sound in outer space is beyond my understanding. Aether is one thing but are we supposed to believe aether can reliably transmit sound waves instead of merely light and electromagnetic waves?
