There's no getting rid of 4chan because 4chan is the byproduct of the internet giving tons of different kinds of people who don't quite wish to participate in other forums a place to discuss things without likes, upvotes, account names, or moderation to a stricter degree.
I believe the worst thing they could do as far as containing 4chan's influence is to get rid of 4chan. The containment will be broken.
