Wealthy things invite poor people, spiritually speaking, so of course no art is free of boorishness and faggotry; I say "literature" instead of "novels" or "books" because in that I choose to exclude YA, self help, harebrained political pieces, and most works written in the 21st century -- when I say literature, I refer to GOOD literature, worthwhile and challenging literature, things that can be truly consider testaments of consciousness and thought. I'm glad to see a shared passion on this too often depressing board.
