I think you are misunderstanding what a debate and argument is, for the most part yelling matches seems like argurments but they are not, they are just some irrelevant yelling that doesn't equate to much.
A debate or argument is where two sides have different opinions that they want to test out on other people. its very important to keep calm in these situations and analysize the whole subject in different views.
it's very nice that you can figure out stuff by your own, but i would say that having a person who can check you when you are analyzing because everyone makes mistakes sometimes even me. at the end of my talk I just want you to consider people with a calm aura and at least figure out what they are saying. even if it is maybe frivolous
