there is no other reason. if they wanted to communicate theyd use texting or email. if they wanted to look at memes they would make anonymous accounts. if they wanted to learn about new places to eat they again would use yelp or an anonymous account. they use it to show off vanity and compete. that is the ONLY reason.
years ago ive also used it. deep down i only posted for approval and for attention. whether it was a place i went, something i saw, or a funny joke. i only posted to please others, not to please me. only when i deleted it did i realize how big of a waste of time it was and how different life is without one. i do not have any social media and have not for years. i get women easily and most find the fact that im not on it "mysterious" as gay and retarded as that sounds.
