Do these stats look like bullshit to you?
Starting salary for most majors being 50k plus just after graduating?
Long story short, literally everyone I know got ass fucked except an accounting major. Env science, bio, psychology, political science, etc.
Literally all of them were FUCKED and working literal minimum wage jobs (i.e. helping kids with disabilities, yogurt land employee, etc.) for yrs.
Only RECENTLY have 2 of those been mildly successful (underemployed but one started at 26 an hr after 2 yrs of graduating and the other about to be in the same spot. Both got lucky and are working at uc san diego with jobs that have NOTHING to do with what they studied).
Political science one is in her early 30s. No career yet... bio one still working with kids for shit pay at 27 yrs old..
Point I'm making is stats online look EXTREMELY misleading when it comes to starting pay. 50k for a liberal arts major?
Does this look accurate to you?
Long story short, I am 2.5 yrs done with a bba econ degree but these shit job prospects make me think I should just stick with my associate's.. at least this way, I won't have to worry about debt and shit (either that or literally all my paychecks would go to paying off for school while I continue to live with my parents... but living with your parents is shameful to me. Makes me embarassed)
