Completely putting >tfw no gf aside, THAT is the kind of person I want to be around, male or female. She did have a boyfriend, but I wouldn't have asked her out anyway based on her looks and personality I would have assumed that she was dating someone much better looking with a much better personality than me.
It's funny how some people stick out in your head though. I remember when she saw me in a hallway after not seeing each other for a few months, and she recognized me, called my name, and seemed genuinely happy to see me. THAT is why I remember her. We like people who seem to like us.
