I've always thought most people shouldn't have children. I think at some point in the future, reproduction will be managed by the state to ensure following generations are strong, healthy, intelligent, happy etc. .
Furthermore, this is not the time to 'contribute' to society - in the West it is rotten and has to decay. Don't allow yourself to be shamed into doing something that feels wrong, as it might be much more fruitful to focus on inwardness and observation in these times.
