I will share my personal recipe if you ever want to make a more traditional iteration of the dish (keep in mind i feed 5 people):
-half an onion
-one chile ancho
-2 or 3 chile guajillo (size varies)
- 1 or 2 garlic tooth (size varies)
-1 tomato
Now, I boil them all together until soft. Afterwards, I blend them, here is the seasoning:
- a spoonful of chicken bullion
- 1 pinch of black pepper
- 1 pinch of salt
-2 pinches of cumin
Blend it all together, add the chips on the pot and aggregate the salsa all together.
As for toppings, cilantro, onions, a fried egg on top, guacamole, sour cream, or cheese (queso fresco or cotija). Muy sencillo.
