I'd change it to pbr specular if you're gonna use that and without alpha blending. I've had some issues with opacity in the past. You can add them after anyway.
Upon further reading it seems painter now just bakes the height map into normals automatically on export so I guess just paint height instead and you will get the normal map when you save.
