Carmody mentioned wanting a training session in her text, and as the match progresses, Priscilla takes mental notes of aspects of Carmody’s performance that need to be worked on. Taking full advantage of any moment of hesitation or distraction on the opponent’s part was definitely topping that list.
When the hard fought contest ends, Priscilla is left to rue the fact that Carmody hadn’t managed to apply her finishing hold to an opponent who had lost her previous two matches by submission. But having faced Nikki in her previous match, this was Carmody’s second consecutive encounter with a wildly unpredictable opponent and she had certainly come much closer to victory this time around. There were plenty positives to take from the performance.
However, this was not the time to worry about that, Priscilla had offered to be ringside to ensure no harm came to her friend in the aftermath of the bout, and Miss USA already seems to be in the middle of some sort of rant. So she enters the ring, just as Miss USA grabs Carmody by the shoulders and says something about Rocky movies. Strange woman, but a good opponent for Carmody to have tested herself against.
As Miss USA releases her grip on Carmody, Priscilla puts a supportive arm around her waist and allows the exhausted brunette to lean against her for support. She lowers her voice to a whisper.
