The leverage battles, the teased out proofs of your dearness to the other, the little tips of the hand mid-battle that reveal what might lay concealed. Even if you think those are the most real moments, they're not. Life is lived in the moments of quiet, bereft of telos. It's just best not to test people in a way that can't be repeated forever without it becoming rote repetition.
