People who ascend bypass this system and add their knowledge back to god or the void or the source. Most of god is trapped on Earth, 25 or so percent of humans have a soul, the rest being NPCs put here to make this place a living hell and feeding the demons of Saturn with bad vibes from upset/terrified/humiliated God beings.
Once enough of ascend and are pieced back into god we will regain our omnipotence and bring destruction against those who would seek to kill God
