It's and outputted reality resultant from underlying info peocessing "outside" of or "non-local" to the virtual space time. It just doesn't exist "out there" as an observer dependent "matter" based reality that is fully rendered at all times. It is a render on demand reality which is streamed into minds, and only to the resolution demanded by the specs of the players (consciousnesses) immersed in the reality.
