i just prefer dead space 2 because of Isaac being given a voice, the chapter transitions being dynamic (as opposed to: exit tram, finish level, get back to tram) and because of the improved variety in both suit and level design
also I don't know about you but I felt that dead space 1 became somewhat of a slog in the final 2 chapters because of the overwhelming amount of quarantine/continuous enemy spawn sections
