>>18229134Miss USA’s mind is colored by deep thoughts of her recent loss, NATO and her days as a starlet. A rage builds inside Miss USA as Amy’s words ignites her.
Miss USA thought that teaming with Raging Red would capture the same magic that she felt with NATO. It was a selfish decision. A brash action spurred on by her carelessness and anger. Red was indeed collateral damage in Miss USA war against America’s enemies. They may have a truce for now but she knows that as long as that Empress had her talons sunk into her, Colby Jefferson was a threat. And with that, anyone that associated with her was also an enemy of the state.
Amy Flame’s critique and parting words rings through Miss USA’s mind. She had felt dissatisfaction and disappointment in herself as soon as the bell rang at the end of their match and Amy’s words cemented it.
She wasn’t in the right state of mind. She was compromised. She sold Raging Red a bill of goods and she has to right that wrong. She wasn’t the Miss USA that she needed to be; that America needs her to be.
Much like all those years ago, Miss USA feels that she’d lost part of herself. The part of herself that was willing to go above and beyond to get what she wanted. The part of her that led to chaos, destruction, pain and death. The part of herself that burned down London and Sydney. The part of her that went to Hell and back with Miss Hailey and Warhorse. The part of her that slayed a dragon and defied an empire.
Agent Addams is America’s white knight, but Miss USA knows that Miss A is America’s true bargaining chip. America’s real weapon of mass destruction.
Perhaps it was time to consolidate both parts of Miss USA.
As Amy Flame’s parting words continue to ring in her head, Miss USA looks up at Miss Hailey’s locker.
Her eyes start to well up.
>No. Miss USA stands up.
