I dated a chubby girl once and she was legitimately the best person I have ever been in a relationship with. She was the sweetest, most thoughtful, and genuinely interesting person to talk to. I felt a real connection to her, but I thought I could do better. And since then I have dated skinnier women, but I still constantly regret not maintaining that relationship.
