Whether it's a religion, a political belief system, or adherence to science, humans need some form of guiding light in their lives.
My main gripe with atheists is that they seem to feel enlightened by discarding religion and believe they have somehow evolved into superior beings because of it, when in fact it's just one of countless ways for humans to make themselves feel superior to other humans (which is the true goal in all of this). They should take a note from Socrates in the related pic. A little humility will suit them better.
