>>18233882I had assumed the lack of "shared lore" between the series was more of a face-value thing where Viv specifically wanted Helluva to be a spinoff and not an involved show. The further we get into Season 2, (really this was apparently with its start) the more we see the useless drama creep in and how Viv is beating and pounding Helluva into a Hazbin-ish shape. Naturally the shows have no real shared similarities beyond the setting, so Helluva is simply suffering a great deal in quality for no perceived benefit.
She should have just started a new show and left Helluva in the hands of her crew instead. It couldn't be any worse than it is now, with Viv actively piloting it into the shitter.
