it needed tires and a battery. later that summer when i decided i wanted to keep it i spent a little more rebuilding the fork seals and a few other things like a new chain for security since i wasnt sure how old it was. i spent maybe a grand total to have a fairly nice, safe bike. working on bikes is incredibly easy and if you dont have any tools, as a man, you should get some. most manuals can be found online, there are still forums out there where its mostly old guys in love with whatever type of bike you get. its really not as daunting as it seems
