I don't believe in the mysticism of Christianity. What I believe it is that it is a collection of old stories passed down through oral tradition of wise men. Rising up from animals and forming a civilization is fucking complicated, and all these niggas have been watching civilizations rise and fall for tens of thousands of years before the earliest recorded history, and they learned what the objective truth is. They know the general guidelines that kept societies functioning and kept them from delving into chaos. Thats all they're trying to explain in the old stories. Sure, believing in a god that justifies all these claims in a great way to add legitimacy and it makes sense. The objective truth that brings about the least amount of suffering and the suffering that does propagate doesn't completely wreck your society like Cain did (7x7).
