But the W202 also was nice, with wood armatures etc. And it had more space than the w204, despite not being wider I think. The doors nowadays are thicker. The car in general felt lighter, like it could lift off if you pushed down the pedal strong enough. Might have also to do with the design as the newer models look like they are lower in the front or there is more weight put on it while the old models look lofty, upward tilted in the front, more neutraly balanced design between front and back. I think I can remember times when I pushed gas on the W202 and it lifted off in the front. Likely a safety issue which is why they changed it with newer models.
