>>16316500in that case a demon making them enjoy something would be helpful lol
anyway the point is, i think trying to disconnect urself from the material world is just fucking stupid
why not just teach people to enjoy the things they have here while still keeping the afterlife in scope, instead of telling them to completely disconnect themselves from it lest they lose vision of the afterlife
the latter is just comes off as being paranoid
it sounds like this is a bad thing because retards allow it to be harmful to them
normally nobody would think that something little like enjoying video games would ultimately be something that leads them astray from their purpose in the afterlife, as unnecessary as it may be to their life, it still wouldnt stop them from making the "right" decisions later on
but if you were told that it has the potential to and therefore you should try to abstain from it, then that makes you fear it and fills your mind with doubt and paranoia
its like a cognitive hazard more than anything
if you didnt tell people that taking excessive pleasure from things is a work of the demons, then theyd never think of it as so and continue enjoying that thing while still keeping the afterlife in mind, or i guess as long as you teach it that way
while on the other hand this is intentionally making people scared to enjoy too much the things they like because it could end up bad somehow
i think thats pretty fucked
as long as youre not going on heroin binge parties or something but just enjoying a game you really like or something that whats the matter if you do it excessively, i dont think that it can take you away from your individual scope of afterlife or whatever unless it was already not there, in which case its just what it is
i guess it could on a larger and long-term scale take people away from realizing their purpose or whatever but this "purpose" already seems malicious to me, it teaches you to be scared of enjoying things and fuck that
