>>6302260We sued for peace.
Luckily, it seemed our enemies wanted the same, not surprising since we showed them our divine wrath!
We had gained an important system in this bout, but our ally had lost many of his own.
As compensation we offered to give them the system we conquered and the planet that was within it.
We did not know what they'd do to the inhabitants...
This was our biggest war yet, and though it didn't go as well as we had hoped it was still a great victory.
Especially when we consider the things we learned from our opponents wreckages.
Technology that allowed us to emulate those unbreakable shields and unbendable hulls!
When next we'd meet on the battlefield things would be different!
So we waited a few years, bulding up our fleet, as did they.
Until finally we saw the day to strike anew!
This time we were more than prepared.
We asked the federation again if they'd be up for trying to end the threat once more, this time they said yes, i guess they saw the importance this time, or realized victory was possible.
Our enemies did not do the same mistake as last time, this time they waited for us while their other fleets went to take on our allies.
Perhaps they learned a bit of wisdom from last time.
But it mattered little, we went in aggressive this time.
We went after their fleet and attacked, even as their starbase was giving covering fire.
It was a tough battle but their ships went down way easier this time, and not as many as ours were destroyed
We finished off the fleet and took the starbase over.
Then we after the next one, the enemy fleets tried to go after us but when they realized that the base was lost they retreated, they knew they had no chance against our superior numbers without it.
We kept on going like this, like a cat and a mouse intil we hit the homesystem was reached.
We of course took the base over but before we could get our landers there something happened.
A disturbance was felt on the edge of the galaxy.
