>>3626426You have to read some neurology 101 to begin to understand it. I suggest you read Prometheus Rising, or another book by New Falcon called Angel Tech, which are both very comprehensive manuals for understanding how the brain/mind works and how to hack it.
Basically, when one thinks of the brain one tends to think in terms of it as a whole, just a single piece that works in unison. Such a thing is completely false. A good metaphor to understand the body/brain relationship is to think of a giant robot, a mecha, that would be your body and that is being controlled by three or four people from the inside of your head, and those people would be your brain. The people in the robot's head might be able to work together most of the time, but the greatest problems in life come when they are unable to cooperate and the robot trips over and get made a mess. Most problems in life are caused because one part of the brain gets in conflict with another one, a good example of that is addictions, where the moral and logical part of the brain get against the part that has control of the body.
Learning imprint theory of the brain is one of the most eye opening things there is. You can see through your habits and pre-programmed attitudes and with effort rework them into something that makes more sense. Happiness (and hidden freakish mental superpowers) can come from learning the techniques through which you reprogram the brain to work in a coherent manner, replacing the imprinting that has happened by random chance with a brain configuration that makes more sense.
