>>7263729it was something stupid imo. the fansites and fans in general were becoming disgruntled at the company for not providing the same amount of content they were providing pre-debut. to add to that, the fansite owners weren't happy that the company wasn't providing them with the group schedule in advance so they could go and snap pictures wherever they went. and to add to it even further, recently another loona concert was announced and the fansite owners weren't informed of it before the other fans were. and the final nail in the coffin was that the tickets for the concert were apparently really expensive.
so after the concert was announced, about 15-20 fansites closed down in protest.
i don't know who was in the wrong, but i have a natural dislike for netizen backlash because my favorite group ever, t-ara, was brought down by it. thankfully, i think in this era, netizen backlash isn't nearly as destructive as it was before
