>>12860080not very much news at all yet. the short version is that it might be an issue with my gallbladder, but my symptoms are a bit too irregular for them to say anything for sure. for now they gave me a prescription for acid reducers since my dad has had very similar issues in the past and that fixed it for him, but it isn't an ideal solution long term so i've got a ultrasound of my gallbladder and balls (since i also reported testicular pain which they're truly stumped on) scheduled for next friday.
if they're right and it is an issue with my gallbladder i'll probably need surgery to get it removed unless i want to risk early onset dementia (which i'm already at risk for) from using the acid reducers long term. if it isn't my gallbladder then my options are to get referred to a stomach specialist and hope they've got a better guess, start getting ultrasounds of my stomach more or less at random until they find something, or try to convince my insurance to pay for a ct scan which is almost guaranteed to be conclusive but is wildly expensive compared to the other alternatives
