it's a learning curve, definitely. just block attacks in time, roll away from the attacks that'll just slap your shield away, learn the telegraphy and where to roll for that particular attack, and don't deplete your stamina so you can't block or roll in time. DO NOT consume boss souls, use them for the infinite souls exploit. the first one to get is the moonlight butterfly, exploit it to save a fuckton of farming for souls. this can also be done with a fire keeper's soul for unlimited humanity. online play will always be a lagging disaster, it's just a contest of using the lag to sneak backstabs, so stay offline. strength+dexterity+endurance quality builds are best for getting through the game, anything else is for seasoned players that are bored with that playstyle. learn about mimics before you open too many chests. now go play the shit out of my favorite game, man
