Yeah that's how it goes. Bootstraps are broken and trying to get there in the same way isn't feasible. There's more to the equation than inflation like health insurance having local monopolies driving up costs, shrinkflation, the housing crisis and shifts in the economy over the years but that doesn't excuse the situation most of you young men find yourselves in.
