At no point did I say we won the war, and I'm not forgetting the role of the Canadian Royal air force nor Poles. No doubt American help was absolutely necessary, but the Germans could not have won WW2 in any reasonable time frame. Sure if the Battle of the Atlantic had taken a more resounding German lead throughout more of its time maybe. But WW2 was a war of attrition the minute the Battle of Britain was lost for them
