>not supposed to use the base much farther outi don't know what you mean by this. you're sorta right about the sub though. it'll basically become your base once you build it. even if you don't care about the comfy base building or fluff systems exclusive to bases you'll want at least one "real" base for a reason i won't disclose. it doesn't really matter where you put it as long as it's not in super shallow water ie in the coral reefs and there's absolutely no downside to making multiple especially if you're keeping important stuff on the sub
