>>16807268nah, i didnt watch it already. it was uploaded a year ago and i watched the first bumer like 3 years ago, i vividly remember looking for the second one but there just wasnt any english translation so yeah. got around to it now cause i went back to the soundtrack, has been keeping me company
these kind of russian movies are pretty good, i watched brat and its sequel a long time ago, i think about the nail-filled shotgun shells a lot for some reason
ig the second ones purpose was kind of to cash in on the success of the first, but i dont think that prevented it from being good still, although i think it has less atmosphere to it than the first thats okay, its pretty interesting how it explored some russian dude stumbling into new york still, i guess it wouldve been kind of stale in its own way anyway if it were just more of the first movie
i dont think i would rewatch 2 still lol but yeah. also thinking about this makes me realize ive also forgotten a lot of brat, ig i should give it another watch, itd be the third time actually, which is a pretty rare thing for me with any kind of media no matter how much i like it, i dont usually give things a rewatch let alone two. it helps that you can just find these movies on youtube lol that might be the entire reason that im okay with bothering
anyway
the shame is that english subtitles dont really do justice to the feel of these movies, ur really not gonna get the full experience that a native russian is going to
but oh well it doesnt take away an insane amount, and is its own experience i suppose. there's a charm to watching movies in a language you dont know, like with listening to music you dont understand. u naturally put your own spin and get your own feel out of things, idk if thats the right way to put it. sometimes its weird looking up lyrics for russian songs i listened to a lot because my brain has a conception of what its about after listening to it enough
